Chef Jon Stokes – A Passion Ignited Culinary Expert
My love affair with food began in San Diego, watching my mom weave her magic in the kitchen after a long day. The variety of dishes she created sparked a curiosity that has never faded. In high school, a skills assessment test solidified my path – Culinary Arts or bust (sorry, computer programming!). The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, became my training ground, and the Four Seasons Inn on the Park in Houston, Texas, my launching pad.
A Global Culinary Journey
My dedication caught the eye of the Four Seasons’ Executive Chef, who presented me with a life-changing opportunity: a culinary position at a Swissotel in Basel, Switzerland. What was meant to be a year abroad blossomed into a wondrous 12 years exploring the culinary tapestry of Europe.
Homeward Bound with New Flavors
Family beckoned me back to the States, and the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas offered the perfect homecoming. It allowed me to share my global experiences while nurturing my growing family.
